As women, we have been raised to be constantly in tune with the wants and needs of others, which makes it hard to be in tune with our own wants and needs.
In The Gift of Asking book, I list fifteen impacts on women for not asking, here are a few; anger, disconnection, overwhelm, resentment, exhaustion, and lack of fulfilment.
You may be someone who never asks for what you need and want, or you may have one big ask that you are too afraid to act on alone.
Whether you want to ask for a raise at work, more intimacy from your partner, more innovation from your team, or help with the domestic load, this program will meet you where you are right now.
The Gift of Asking Program gives you the time and space to tune into your needs, and it ignites the courage you need to step into the driver's seat of your life. You will learn how to say no, how to set boundaries so you can start saying 'yes' to yourself.
By the end of the program you will have the tools to...
A Good Girl
A Self-Expressed Woman
Asking is one of the most powerful tools we have in life’s toolbox. When we ask, we own our worth and our lives.

“This is an exceptional program and I recommend it to anyone wanting to push through habitual patterns of playing small and self-sabotage. Kemi is high skilled at building a safe and trustworthy environment while at the same time coaxing us firmly but lovingly out of hiding behind our BS. It was a privilege to watch the group blossom and step up to ask for what they wanted and needed to live their best lives. But it was also an eye opener, as it made me realise I can do this too! The accountability was brilliant but even after the program ends, this is the gift that will keep on giving.”
“I finally feel WHOLE for the first time in a very, long time. I have realized that my health and well-being have three pillars: Physical, Mental and Spiritual. And that I need to be doing small things in each area, each day to feel whole, happy and joyful. And that if I can feel all of the feelings, including the ones that are hard or painful, that happiness and joy rushes in. And that in order to support my well-being, I need to Ask, Ask, Ask! Or else no one steps up to support me because I am inherently a Giver."
This program is for you if:
✓ You want to let go of the pressure that you need to do everything yourself.
✓ You want to let go of feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, taken for granted, or undervalued.
✓ You want to learn to say no with clarity and compassion.
✓ You want to let go of your 'I shoulds' and clarify what you want from your life.
✓ You want more from life, but you are not quite sure what or how to create it.
✓ You consider yourself a people pleaser and struggle letting others support you.
✓ You know want you want, but you are afraid to ask.
✓ You want to be with a group of like-minded women who are committed to growing and supporting each other.
✓ You want the safe and professional space created by a credentialed coach to hold you accountable for your actions and your aspirations.
“The 6-week Gift of Asking Program has been a wonderful experience. I have been blown away by Kemi's professionalism and kindness. Kemi easily created a secure and comfortable environment within minutes of the very first session. She makes you dig deep and asks the uncomfortable questions you are scared of asking yourself. I never thought I would be excited about asking.”
“Kemi facilitated a brave space and I felt very supported throughout the six weeks. It was a journey of change and huge growth! I am much more confident to own what I want, even though it's uncomfortable as hell sometimes. Kemi inspired me to just go for it.”
My Origin Story.
"My story is not my excuse - it's my why."
As a black child raised by five sets of white foster parents (some incredibly loving, some - not so much), I always felt that I had to prove my worth so that I would be 'allowed to stay.'' I had no say in where I would live or who my new mom and dad would be. I was led to believe that I could not be a 'good girl' but a 'good black girl.'
I was always told to be thankful, always told to be grateful for what I had, never ask for more, and never rock the boat.
So I spent many years being nice and being good.
And now, with thirty years of personal development in my bones and doing my own internal work, things have changed.
Professionally, I am an ICF credentialed coach with nearly a decade of ethical coaching under my belt.
I work with women who want to lead value-based and empowered lives.
I am a feeling person - I can be with and honour my own feelings; so I can sit with and honour your feelings
I am a person of meaningful action - I can guide you to create meaningful action that supports you and your life.
If you want someone to walk alongside you as you step into your worth and into the life you want, it would be my honour and privilege to support you.

“The Gift of Asking Program delivered much more than I expected. Kemi manages to create a sense of connection and focus on every individual within the group forum. An incredible feat when people are leading themselves to a place of vulnerability and risk via Zoom! Kemi is an expert and it was so clear that she dedicates herself to continuous self improvement and reflection. That's exactly what I need to see in a coach.”
“Kemi possesses the ability to bring all the participants together in a supported and safe space, which encouraged everyone to be brave and share in such a deep and real way. The course was a beautiful blend of live interactions with Kemi and the other participants with dedicated individual work to support the asking journey. Gained so much insight during this course and will be using these tools in my life on an ongoing basis.”
